GOOD TO KNOW

A few things
you might be wondering.

You don’t have to feel ready.
Just ready to give it a try.

Do I need to be fluent?+

No. SpeakSix offers classes at A1, A2, B1, and B2. Choose the description closest to your English today. The starting assessment helps you find a suitable group; it is not an official language certificate.

Who will I be speaking with?+

You’ll join up to five other learners at your chosen level. This is structured conversation practice: the lesson supplies individual prompts, timed turns, and two speaking styles. A dedicated teacher is not included in this format.

What if I’m the quiet one in the group?+

There’s a place for you, too. A personal prompt and optional phrase help give you a starting point. You can finish early or pass a turn; you don’t need to fill the whole turn.

How does a class work?+

Each class lasts 60 minutes: a 25-minute speaking round, five minutes for a break and self-assessment, another 25-minute speaking round, and five minutes for a final self-assessment and wrap-up. The group shares the speaking time. Follow the prompts, take your turn, listen, and respond to other learners.

Do I need to download anything?+

No. Join the conversation and practice with Shuffle Cards in your browser. You need an internet connection and microphone access to speak.

Can I join from another country?+

Classes take place online. Choose your local time zone and check the schedule for a conversation that fits your day, subject to availability.
